Raymond Michael Attisano of 7880 state Route 305, Hartford, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2013, in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System. He was 66. Mr. Attisano was born Sept. 17, 1947, in New Castle, a son of Augustine and Mary Harvan Attisano. He was raised in New Castle and attended New Castle High School. Ray was employed in the fabrication and welding departments of Chevron for 30 years, retiring in 2002. An outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping. He was a member of North American Fishing Association, the National Rifle Association and Wild Life Association. Ray loved animals and particularly his dog, Dakota. His wife of 39 years and the love of his life, the former Connie Lou Hughes, whom he married May 7, 1971, passed away April 6, 2010. A loving son, father and brother, he is survived by: a son, Shawn Michael Attisano; and a daughter-in law, Krista O'Kin Attisano, both Hartford; three step grandchildren, Ross Davidson, Hollywood, Fla.; and Arin and Christopher Davidson, both Farrell; two sisters, Rita Attisano Panela and Roanne Attisano Carbone; and a brother, Ronald Attisano, all New Castle. Besides his wife, Ray was preceded in death by his parents. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family and sent to Box 181, Hartford, OH 44424.
