Obituary

Rachel E. Wills, 81, of New Castle passed away Wednesday evening, January 24, 2024 in UPMC Jameson Hospital.

Mrs. Wills was born August 11, 1942, in Ishpeming, MI., a daughter of the late John and Alma (Koski) Hattula. She was a 1960 graduate of Chisholm (Minnesota) High School.

Rachel was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, New Castle.

She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and beloved cat, "Baby."

Rachel is survived by two daughters, Michelle Bobbert and her husband Randy and Donelle Dean and her husband Steven all of New Castle; a sister, Ruth Hill, Newberry, MI, a brother, John Hattula and his wife Shirley, New Castle; four grandchildren, Greg Summerville, Michael Sankey, Stephanie Sankey, and Savannah Dean; five great-grandchildren; and a brother-in-law, Richard Arntzen.

In addition to her parents, Rachel was preceded in death by a sister, Ilona Arntzen; a brother, Thomas Hattula; and a brother-in-law, Robert Hill.

Calling hours will be 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday (1-28-24) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 111 W. Falls St., New Castle.

A funeral service will be held immediately following at 4 p.m., in the funeral home, with Pastor Rich Shira, officiating.
