Rachel Marie Goodnight, 959 Bechtol Ave., Sharon, passed away unexpectedly March 28, 2012, in Columbia, S.C. She was 24.
Rachel was born February 13, 1988 in New Port Richey, Florida, a daughter of William Charles and Deanne Cimperman Goodnight.
She attended Sharon High School and was employed by McDonald's, D'Onofrio's Food Center and the former Quiznos Sub Shop, all Hermitage. She last worked at The Arc of Mercer County in Hermitage, a job in which she truly loved.
Rachel enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and music and was an excellent baby sitter. She will be remembered by many as a beautiful, compassionate and proud young girl and will be deeply missed by all who loved her, including her dogs, Kae and Karma.
Surviving is: her mother, Deanne Goodnight and her companion Guy 'Tom' Fleet, Sharon; a sister, Gia Hart, Philadelphia; a brother, Corry Paul Scott, Hermitage; two uncles, Timothy James Cimperman, Sharon; and Terry W. Goodnight, Sharpsville; two aunts, Tammy Sherman, S. Pymatuning Twp.; and Jeananne Goodnight and her companion Jim Longsinger, Sharpsville; a great uncle, Leonard Cimperman, Hermitage; four great aunts, Irene DeBonis, Hermitage; Millie Cimperman, Los Angeles, CA; Mary Kurilla, Warren, Ohio; and Ann Wozniak, Sharpsville; and several cousins.
Rachel was preceded in death by her father, William Charles Goodnight who died October 5, 2004; and grandparents, Albert J. Cimperman, Margaret Marie Cimperman, Eugene L. Goodnight and Geraldine A. Goodnight.

Memorial service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, May 3, 2012, in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon, with the Rev. Jeffrey Lucas, pastor of St. Stanislaus Kostka-Holy Trinity Church, Sharon, officiating.
Family will receive friends immediately following the service in the funeral home.
