Phyllis E. Ramsdale, St. Paul Homes, Greenville, formerly of Meadowbrook Rd., Hermitage , and also Franklin, Pa., passed away of natural causes

5:10 p.m.
January 9, 2016, in UPMC Horizon Hospital, Greenville. She was 85.
She was born January 9, 1931 in Franklin one of nine children born to Valentine S. and Gertrude M. Rhodes Hazen.
She attended schools in Rocky Grove and graduated from Franklin High School in 1949. She also graduated from the Wilmar Beauty School, Oil City, and was a licensed Cosmetology Teacher.
A public assistance case worker, she was employed by the Mercer County Board of Assistance for 20 years and retired in 1991. She also owned and operated Ramsdale Beauty Salon, Franklin.
She was an assistant for Dr. Hazelett, Greenville, and Dr. Roy Smith, Franklin, and for Mercer County Assist.
She attended the First Assembly of God, Hermitage.
Her husband Charles C. Ramsdale whom she married December 25, 1950, passed away May 21, 2004.
She is survived by her three daughters, Valerie J. Morrison, Pittsburgh, Cherie Ceacer and her husband Tom, Galloway, Ohio, Vicki R. DeTal and her husband Tim, Meadville, Pa., her two sons, Charles C. Ramsdale Jr. and his wife Kathy, Loveland, Ohio, Gary A. and his wife Ginny Ramsdale Lakeland, Florida, 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her four brothers, Bruce, Victor, Wayne, and Paul Hazen, and her four sisters, Pearl Hazen, Ruby Mumford, Opal M. Hazen and an infant Crystal Hazen.
Her family would like to thank the kind people at St. Paul Homes in Greenville for the tender care provided to her during her stay.

Services:
Her family will hold a private memorial service at their convenience with her son in law Pastor Tim DeTal officiating.
