February 13, 1931 – January 10, 2016
Phyllis Jane Fisher, South Pymatuning Township, formerly of Service Avenue, Sharon, passed away peacefully at 5:25 p.m. Sunday (1-10-16) in St. John XXIII Home, Hermitage. She was 84.
Mrs. Fisher was born Feb. 13, 1931, in Farrell, one of four children born to William George and Martha Pearl Reiter Thomas.
A lifelong area resident, she graduated from Sharon High School in 1949.
She was a dedicated member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Hermitage.
A homemaker, she also worked at one time as a teacher's aide in Hermitage School District and for Mercer County Crippled Children's Home.
She enjoyed ceramics and belonged to Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 242, Sharon.
Her husband, H. Ralph Fisher, whom she married Nov. 17, 1950, survives at the residence.
She is also survived by: her three daughters, Karen Lee Bell and her husband Gary, Bowling Green, Ohio; Doris Gayle Lapikas and her husband Daniel, with whom she lived; and Patricia Lynn Caughman and her husband James, Houston; two grandchildren, Kimbraugh Polinsky and Thomas Caughman; a great-granddaughter, Lee Ann Polinsky; a stepgrandson, David Lapikas; two stepgreat-grandsons, Daniel and Noah Lapikas; and two brothers, C. Robert Thomas and his wife Melissa, Hermitage; and Edward Thomas, Port Clinton, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; her son, Lawrence "Larry" Thomas Fisher, who passed away at the young age of 8 years old in 1977; a grandson, Bryan Bell; and her brother, William Thomas.

Service: Funeral service at 10 a.m. Thursday (1-14-16) in St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Hermitage, with the Rev. David J. Williamson, pastor, officiating.
Interment: America's Cemetery, Hermitage.
