Phillips Charles Reed, 72, of Edinburg, passed away early Saturday morning, October 18, 2025, surrounded by his family, in UPMC Jameson Hospital, New Castle.

Mr. Reed was born February 17, 1953, in New Castle, a son of the late Phillips William and Vera (Sage) Reed and was a 1971 graduate of New Castle High School. He continued his education and earned his associate degree in electrical technology from ITT Technical Institute, Youngstown, OH.

Phillips attended Victory Family Church, New Castle.

For over 40 years, Phillips owned and operated Chuck's Electrical, later, working side by side with his son.

A Harley-Davidson enthusiast, Phillips loved riding his Harley whenever he had the chance. He also enjoyed working on his vehicles, electrical work, watching Gunsmoke and other Western television shows, and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his two children, Phillips "Charlie" Reed II (Allicia), Edinburg, and Amylu Plohr (Michael), Wampum; two sisters, Phyllis Scheufert, New Castle, and Verna Bode, Pittsburgh; brother, Bill Reed, Boardman, OH; and ten grandchildren, Angel, Christian, Conner, Nicholas, Jyden, CJ, Chloe, Nola, Hunter, and Autumn.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Nancy Price, who passed away in 2003.

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no services.
