Obituary

Peggy Lou (Williams) Leonetti, 10 Hazen Road, Sharpsville, formerly of Sharpsville Ave., Sharon, passed away Thursday (12-23-10) in her home.

Peggy was born December 14, 1935, in Sharon, to James and Ruth McAfee Williams.

A proud member of the Wheatland community, Peggy attended Farrell High School and Youngstown University.

She was married for 40 years to Joseph 'Lemon' Leonetti, who preceded her in death in 2007.

Peggy possessed an artistic flair which she used throughout her career, creating display windows at the former Sharon Store (currently The Winner), and for Helen Freed's and Cohen's Dress Shops. In her spare time, she helped provide décor for many graduations, parties, showers, and weddings.

She could cook up a feast in a moment's notice, and everyone was welcome at her table where her sauce and meatballs were legendary

Peggy gave 25 years of service to the former Sharon Transformer Division of Westinghouse as a cost accountant. She also worked for 13 years at First National Bank and in its Hermitage data center.

For the past 5 years Peggy has served as the financial secretary for Wheatland-Farrell United Methodist Church, thoroughly enjoying her work and the reconnections that she made spiritually and with friends from Wheatland.

She is survived by 3 children who will miss her dearly: Janie Pandullo of Maryland, Dean Leonetti of West Middlesex, Patti Donatelli of Sharon; and a step- daughter, Marsha Malatesta of Niles, OH. 'Mama' Leonetti always brightened at the sight of each of her grandchildren: Brenda and Walt Edwards of Niles, Gina Malatesta of Niles, Raymond, Courtney, Nicola, Nicole and Rena Donatelli of Sharon; Tony and Rachel Donatelli of Warren OH; Heather, Matt, Joe and Jodi Pandullo of Maryland. She was so proud of her great grandchildren that even her hospital nurses knew their names: Mia, Santino, Salvatore, Vincenzo and Carmine Donatelli and Benjamin Pandullo. She had hoped to hold little Leo Pandullo, who is due in February. Peggy is survived by three devoted siblings and their spouses: James and Kathy Williams of Mercer; Ken and Jane Tarczy of Mercer, and John and Linda Williams of Sharon, as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.
