Peggi Marie Austin, 88, of Sharpsville, passed away early Saturday morning, October 26, 2024, in UPMC Hamot Hospital, Erie.

Mrs. Austin was born December 7, 1935, in Sharon, a daughter of the late Lillian Christine (Brown) Patterson and graduated from Sharpsville High School in 1955.

For 31 years, Peggi worked as a line inspector at Packard Electric, Warren, OH.

Peggi was a woman of deep faith and an active member of Second Baptist Church, Sharpsville, where she loved teaching Sunday school, served on the Trustee Board, and was a longtime usher – training many others throughout the years.

Peggi was an avid reader who enjoyed traveling, shopping, cooking, and baking – especially her "World Famous Brownies."

Above all else, Peggi was the true matriarch of her family, devoting her life to her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all extended family.

Peggi is survived by two sons, Rodney Austin (Suzanne), and Tracy Austin, all of Sharpsville; a brother, Elmore Patterson (Leslie), Wilkinsburg, PA; five grandchildren, Raymond Austin (Wysteria), Courtney Austin, Dustin Austin, Jason Austin, and Maceo Austin; and two great-grandchildren, Charlotte and Remington.

In addition to her mother, Peggi was preceded in death by her husband and longtime partner, Raymond Austin; a daughter-in-law, Susan Lynn Austin; a sister, Virginia Wynn; three brothers, Michael Patterson, and two infants, Rory and Manson; and two grandchildren, Sara Austin and Charlotte Austin.
