Pauline McCartney, 80, of New Castle passed away on Sunday morning October 22,2017, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh. Pauline was born in New Castle on April 4, 1937 to the late Raymond K. and Anna Cramer Thompson. She was a graduate of New Castle High School. Pauline married H. Bruce McCartney on October 1, 1966 and he preceded her in death on July 6, 1999. She was a long time member of the former First Christian Church in New Castle. Pauline worked as an aide in home health care for many years. She was a faithful and loving wife, a wonderful mother and grandma.

Pauline is survived by two sons, Raymond B. McCartney and Robert S. McCartney, both of New Castle; her granddaughter, Kalayah Neshay McCartney of Perkasie, PA and one sister, Mariam Thompson of New Castle. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a brother, Chuck Thompson.

Calling hours will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Thursday, October 26th, 2017, in the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 111 W. Falls St. New Castle.

A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, October 26th, 2017, in the funeral home by the Rev. John W. Lyons.

Interment will be in Parkside Cemetery.
