Pauline A. Freeman of 400 Hillcrest Ave. Grove City, Formerly of New Castle. She passed away at 9:25 a.m., Sunday, July 31, 2011 in Trinity Living Center, Grove City. She was 85.
Mrs. Freeman was born February 7, 1926 in Mercer, PA the daughter of Albert and Anna Mae Flickenger Powell.
Pauline was a homemaker most of her life. Prior to her marriage she worked at Shenango Pottery as a painter.
She attended Unity Baptist Church. She was a very talented painter and guitar player.
Her husband, Charles Freeman Sr., whom she married July 13, 1949, passed away in February of 2000.
She is survived by 4 children, Linda and her husband Warren Gump of New Castle, Nancy Freeman of New Castle, Charles Freeman Jr. of New Castle, Frank and his wife Maria Freeman of Dover, DE; 2 sisters, Mary Thomas of New Castle and Shirley Adams of Maryland; a brother Walter Powell of New Castle; 11 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husband, Pauline was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Albert Powell Jr. and Robert Powell.
A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
