Pauline E. Clark, 86, of Union Twp., passed away at 6:49 A.M. on February 25, 2012 at The Lawrence County Geri Care.
Pauline was born on August 26, 1925 in New Castle to the late Thomas R. and Mary E. Miller Burgess.
She was a 1943 Graduate of New Castle High School and then entered the U. S. Army Nurse Cadet program and graduated from the former New Castle School of Nursing in 1946.
Pauline then worked as a registered nurse at the former New Castle Hospital which later became St. Francis Hospital.
On October 19, 1946 she married Phillip L. Clark and together they were blessed with and raised together three daughters and one son.
Pauline was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. She was a former Girl Scout Leader and enjoyed volunteering for the Meals on Wheels program for many years. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband Phillip at home. Three daughters, Kathleen Kegarise and her husband David of Pittsburgh, Linda Chrillo and her husband Joseph of Murraysville, Kelly Currie of New Castle and one son Phillip L. Clark Jr. and his wife Alice of New Castle. One sister in law, Marjorie Burgess of Akron ,OH Ten grandchildren, Kate and her husband Brad, Sarah, Annie, Kelly, Jonathan, Lindsey, Ashley, Emily, Jason and his wife Maria and Amanda. Four great grandchildren also survive, Elizabeth, Charles, Emme and Theresa Pauline along with several nieces and nephews.
Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Richard Burgess, and a son in law, Dennis Currie.
Visitation will held Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. and from 12:00 p.m. to the time of service at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, 111 W. Falls St.
Interment will follow in Castle View Memorial Gardens.
