Mass of Christian burial is Saturday for Paula M. Griffith of Hermitage, who passed away unexpectedly Tuesday morning, May 5, 2015, in her residence. She was 75. Mrs. Griffith was born Sept. 12, 1939, in Sharon, a daughter of Victor and Alice Ghirardi LeVrangi. A lifelong area resident, she was a 1957 graduate of Sharon High School and received her bachelor's degree in education from Youngstown State University. Paula retired from Reynolds School District, where she had a long career as a business teacher in the high school and also was advisor for the school newspaper for many years. She was a member of the national and state education associations. Paula was an active member of Church of the Good Shepherd, West Middlesex, and its Altar and Rosary Society. An avid golfer, she was a member of the former Greenville Country Club and its Ladies Golf League and was a current active member of The Greens of Greenville Ladies Golf League. Her husband of 52 years, Edwin "Ted" Griffith, survives at the residence; they were married July 28, 1962. Also surviving are two daughters, Julie Rose, Newport News, Va.; and Jill Wilde and her husband John, Fulton, N.Y.; a son, James Griffith and his wife Amie, Jacksonville, N.C.; and six grandchildren, whom she adored, Brandon Griffith; Tyler, Madison and Cooper Rose; and Austin and Connor Wilde. Paula was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Sandra Cameron.
