Paul Volinsky, West Middlesex, passed away peacefully at 6:20 a.m. Sunday (8-14-11) in the Family Hospice Compassion Care Center, Pittsburgh, following an extended illness. He was 86.
He was born January 25, 1925 in Youngstown, Ohio the son of Charles and Anna Masnik Volinsky.
Following his graduation from High School, Paul enlisted in the United States Navy and was stationed in Utah during WWII.
For 40 years he worked at General Fireproofing where he worked as a material transfer specialist.
He was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd, West Middlesex. Paul was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6233.
He was an avid gardener who enjoyed growing both vegetables and flowers. He also loved the sound of polka music and enjoyed polka dancing. He loved his grandchildren and his pets, his cats were always special to him.
His wife Irene Volinsky who he married on April 13, 1973, passed away on November 1, 2003.
He leaves his three sons, Darrell W. Ramp and his wife Monica M. who were his caregivers and with whom he lived, Leslie F. Ramp and his wife Constance S., Tampa, Fl, and Robert L. Ramp and his wife Ann L. of Hermitage; a sister Helen Hafernick, Houston, TX; and a brother Walter Volinsky and his wife Jean, Youngstown, Ohio, 9 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Mary Altiero, and a brother John Volinsky.

Services: Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday (8-17-11) at 11:00 a.m. in the Church of the Good Shepherd with Rev. Robert M. Malene, Pastor of the church as celebrant.
There will be no procession from the funeral home and the family asks that everyone to please go directly to the church.
Interment: St. Rose Cemetery, Hermitage.
