Paul Edward Hohman, 75, passed away unexpectedly on March 4, 2026, in Philipsburg, PA.

Mr. Hohman was born March 30, 1950, in Sharon, PA, to John and Anna (Davies) Hohman. He lived a life dedicated to education, community service, and family, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew him.

An alumnus of St. Joseph Primary School and Kennedy Catholic High School, Paul furthered his education at Slippery Rock University and earned his degree in education.

Paul devoted 40 years of his career to being an elementary school teacher. First, at St. Michael's, Greenville, PA, then in the Philipsburg area where he passionately inspired and guided countless young minds. Following his retirement from teaching, he continued to serve others as a full-time insurance agent for the Knights of Columbus. His commitment to his profession exemplified his caring nature and dedication to helping families in his community.

Music was a significant part of Paul's life; he sang in the choir at St. Joe's and participated in the music ministry at Slippery Rock. At St. Peter and Paul in Philipsburg, he served as a member of lay ministry, cantor, CCD teacher, lector, and Eucharistic minister, embracing opportunities to enrich the spiritual lives of his fellow parishioners. You could also find him dancing to the music anytime the opportunity presented itself, he was expressing his love for the beats.

Throughout Paul's youth he was an active member of the Boy Scouts, where he earned the esteemed rank of Eagle Scout and was elected to the Order of the Arrow. His commitment to service was further demonstrated through his involvement with the Knights of Columbus, which he joined in 1993. He served in various leadership roles including recorder, Deputy Grand Knight, Grand Knight, and Past Grand Knight for the Holy Family Council 08071, as well as Faithful Scribe and Color Corps member of the Clearfield Assembly 0952.

Paul is survived by his wife, Brenda Hohman; his daughters, Amber Hohman, Nicole Maines (C.J), and Tonya Hohman; his beloved grandchildren, Kellen, Brielle, Declan, and Tregan; and his brother Mark Hohman (Sue). He is also remembered by his many cousins, nieces, and nephews, whose lives he touched with his warm spirit and genuine kindness.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Miriam Smiley, John J. Hohman, Patricia Formichella, and Mary Hohman, who died in infancy.

Paul Edward Hohman leaves behind a legacy of love, community service, and dedication. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Calling hour will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of service, Saturday (4/11/26) in the Church of Notre Dame, 2325 Highland Rd., Hermitage, PA.

Mass of Christian burial will immediately follow at 10 a.m. in the church, with Rev. John Miller, pastor, as celebrant.

Following mass, family and friends are invited to a celebration of life, beginning at 1 p.m., at The Goat Bar and Grille, 11780 PA-618, Conneaut Lake, PA.

Interment: St. Rose Cemetery, Hermitage.
