Paul B. Butler, Sr., 62, of Hermitage passed away Thursday morning, November 16, 2023, in his residence.

Mr. Butler was born December 28, 1960, in Durango, CO, a son of the late Leo William Butler, II, and Nancy (Midcap) Butler.  He was a 1978 graduate of Eaton High School, CO, where he was a member of Future Farmers of America (FFA).  Paul excelled in swimming and was a Colorado state record holder in the 100-yard backstroke.

After High School, Paul enlisted in the United States Army on February 1, 1979.  He served his country for 15 years, until being honorably discharged in 1994 with the rank of Staff sergeant.

In 1982 Paul married the former Susan (Sue) Ackley, and they celebrated 41 years of marriage together.

Paul is survived by his wife, Sue; a son, Paul B.Butler, II, Iowa; two sisters, Kathleen Livingston; Ft. Lupton, CO, and Beverly Liddell (David), Lynnwood, WA; a brother, Leo William Butler, III, Little Chute, WI; a brother-in-law, Chuck Ackley (Joanne), Washington, PA; two sisters-in-law, Helen Fleming (John), Taylorstown, PA and Jackie Terrell (Tom), Washington, PA.
