Patsy J. Pellegrino, 90, of Hermitage, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully on Monday, September 21, 2020, in his home.
Mr. Pellegrino was born May 13, 1930, in Farrell, a son of the late Vincenzo and Assunta Pellegrino. A lifelong area resident, he was a 1948 graduate of Farrell High School.
Patsy honorably served his country for two years in the US Navy. He was employed for 44 years at Sharon Steel's former Farrell plant, retiring in 1987.
Patsy was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Church, Farrell.
His wife, the former Carmella Esposito, whom he married November 5, 1955, passed away February 25, 2010.
He is survived by two daughters, Pamela Pellegrino, of Sharon, and Karen Shollenberger and her husband Donald, of Columbus, OH; two sons, Marc Pellegrino and his wife Lorraine, of New Castle, and Gary Pellegrino, of Hermitage; eight step-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, Patsy was preceded in death by five sisters, Jean DePascale, Mary Morsillo, Florine Stefanick, Gilda Germani and Armenia Fister; and two brothers, Napoleon and Silvio DePascale.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be directed to Our Lady of Fatima Church, 601 Roemer Blvd., Farrell, PA 16121.
Calling hours will be noon until the time of the service Friday (09/25/2020) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 East State St., Sharon.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, in the funeral home, with Rev. Matthew Ruyechan, pastor of Our Lady of Fatima Church, officiating.
Interment: St. Anthony's Cemetery, Hermitage.
