Obituary

Patsy "Pat" Charles Bonasera, 86, of Hermitage passed away at 2:35 a.m. Wednesday, August 22, 2018, in the intensive care unit of Sharon Regional Medical Center.

Pat was born June 4, 1932, in Sharon, a son of the late Charles and Emma (Seige) Bonasera.  He was a 1950 graduate of Sharon High School and served in the U.S. Army in Austria during the Korean War.

Pat was employed by Tastee Bakery, Westinghouse Electric, Yobe Electric and Kirila Fire.  He was a member of the Church of Notre Dame, Hermitage.  He was also a member of the Greenville Elks, Lodge #145, and the Greenville Loyal Order of Moose, #276.  Pat spent many hours in his garage and at his job.

He loved his Corvette's, snowmobiling, vacationing in his motor home and going to the races.  He also loved his family and friends very much.

Surviving are: his wife, the former Debra Elaine Sankey, whom he married in 1990; a son, Jeff Bonasera and his wife Peggy, Transfer; a daughter, Tammy Bonasera, Pittsburgh; a step-son, Robie Moorhouse and his wife Lynn, Concord, OH; a granddaughter, Nicki Bonasera; three step-grandchildren, Bryce, Stefan and Tyler Moorhouse; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Pat was preceded in death by his first wife, the former JoAnn D. Delon, whom he married in 1951 and passed away in 1984; and a brother Charles "Chuck" Robert Bonasera, Jr.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Calling hours will be from noon until the time of service on Saturday, August 25, 2018, in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon.

Funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, in the funeral home, with the Very Rev. Richard J. Allen E.V., pastor of the Church of Notre Dame, Hermitage, officiating.

Interment: St. Rose Cemetery, Hermitage.
