Patrick Kelley, 78, of Hermitage, passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2026, in UPMC Horizon Hospital, Farrell.
Mr. Kelley was born on August 13, 1947, in Sharon, a son of the late Louis J. and Francis Alberta (Greggs) Kelley. He was a graduate of Sharon High School and attended Penn State Shenango Valley Campus. He served his country in the U.S. Navy as a Gunner's Mate second class during the Vietnam War.
He worked as a machine operator at the former Commercial Intertech, which is not Parker-Anthony, in Youngstown, OH.
Pat was a member of St. Joseph’s Church, Sharon. He was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 1338, the American Legion, Post 299, and the 40&8, all in Sharon, the DAV Chapter 55, and the former Catholic War Vets.
His wife, the former Geraldine Puhala, whom he married on April 24, 1965, passed away on November 16, 2025.
He is survived by a son-in-law, Paul Phillips, of Hubbard, OH; two grandchildren, Bradley and Bryan Phillips; and a sister, Patricia Thompson and her husband, Rick, of Greenville, PA; a niece, Lisa (Ginther) Ferencik; and a nephew, Jim Ginther and his wife, Patricia.
In addition to his parents and wife, Pat was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathleen M. Phillips; a sister, Catherine Porterfield Ginther; and a brother, James Porterfield.

Calling hours will be noon to 2 p.m. on Wednesday (06/10/2026) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 East State St., Sharon. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.McGonigleFuneralHomeandCrematory.com
Funeral service will immediately follow at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, in the funeral home with Rev. James Power, officiating.
Interment: St. Rose Cemetery, Hermitage.
