Patricia H. Spencer, 80, of Neshannock Twp., passed away Tuesday morning, October 1, 2024, in Edison Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, New Castle.
Mrs. Spencer was born on March 28, 1944, in Sharon, PA, a daughter of the late James and Mary Elizabeth (Micco) Harkless. She was a 1964 graduate of Brookfield High School and attended Youngstown State University, where she studied art.
While in high school, she worked in the evenings at a Golden Dawn warehouse. Later, she was employed at the former Packard Electric Corp., Warren, OH.
Patricia married Frederick Spencer, Sr., on August 20, 1966. While serving his country during the Vietnam war, she supported him and moved to whichever base he was stationed in the United States. Eventually, they moved back to Pennsylvania, settling in Neshannock Twp.
A dedicated homemaker, Patricia was of the Catholic faith and a member of the former St. Bernadette's Church, Masury, OH.
A talented artist, Patricia enjoyed attending the Hoyt Institute for Arts and Education.
She was very family-oriented and leaves behind by her husband of 58 years; a daughter, Stephanie Wilson, Erie, PA; a son, James Spencer and his wife Heather; a daughter-in-law, Lisa Spencer, both of Neshannock Twp.; nine grandchildren, Nathan, Noah, Jimmy, Anthony, McKenzie, Richard, Isabella, Tyler and Adelyn; and a great-granddaughter, Evelyn.
In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by a son, Frederick Spencer, Jr.
Patricia's family would like to thank the staff of Edison Manor, for the care given to her in the last 4 years.
