IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Patricia “Tricia”
Millan-Campbell
August 14, 1965 – March 6, 2024
Patricia "Tricia" Millan-Campbell, 58, of Hermitage, passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by family following a courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, March 6, 2024.
Tricia was born on August 14, 1965 in Paterson, NJ where she was raised by the late Edwin and Carmella (Franco) McNerney. She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from William Paterson University, and began her career at Hackensack Medical Center. In 2006 she began working as a school nurse and found her true calling in Hermitage. For over a decade, she poured her heart into her work and became a beloved member of the staff at Hickory High School.
She was an active and devoted member of Covenant Presbyterian Church where she found an outpouring of love and support from its members, whom she quickly called "friends". When asked, she'd credit her perseverance to her unwavering faith in God.
Wholly devoted to her family and friends, Tricia truly loved spending quality time with those around her, typically in her kitchen while enjoying a cup of coffee and Entemann's, or a glass of wine with "pickies." She also took a special sense of joy in tending to her vegetable garden and iris beds.
She is survived by her husband of five years, Craig Campbell; three daughters: Noelle Millan and fiance Nicholas Vuich, Alexandra Puleo and husband Andy, and Kimberly Millan; two step-daughters: Paige Hamilton and husband Andrew, and Nikki Patton; one grandson, Milo Vuich; four step-grandchildren, Rory and Scarlet Hamilton, and Ashton and Carmen Patton; two sisters: Mary Capone, and her husband Pasquale, and Margaret Wilson, and her husband, Jack; one brother: Peter McNerney, and his wife Laurie; sister-in-law, Christine Asbridge, and her husband Thomas; six nieces, Cristina, Patricia, Daniela, Emma, Ella, and Violet; two nephews, Angelo and Edwin; and mother-in-law, Jane Campbell.
Endless thanks are owed to the staff at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, the team at McGonigle Ambulance Services, and Amedisys Hospice for going above and beyond in Tricia's care.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate that donations be made to METAvivor, a foundation dedicated to metastatic breast cancer research, in her honor at www.metavivor.org.
Per her wishes, Tricia donated her body to science to further education and research in hopes of finding a cure for cancer. All who would like to share their memories of Tricia are welcome to join her family at her Celebration of Life at The Avalon at Buhl in the ballroom on April 19, 2024, from 5:00 - 8:00 pm. In true "Tricia fashion", she asked that black not be worn to her celebration. She wanted this time to be dedicated to remembering the happiest times with her over food and drinks.
