Patricia Ann Knox

Patricia Ann Knox, 71, of Hermitage, passed away Sunday morning, August 30, 2026, in Autumn Grove Nursing Home, Harrisville, PA.

Ms. Knox was born December 13, 1954, in Sharon, a daughter of the late James P. and Geraldine I. (Huff) Knox. She attended Hickory High School in Hermitage prior to entering the Lark Enterprises workshop in New Castle, PA.

Patty spent a number of years in the care of her sister, Donna, and during that time participated in the Vector Workshop in Stanton, VA. Since 2015, she has been in the care of the Arc of Mercer County, where she enjoyed spending time with fellow residents and participating in the adult day program.

Patty adored her beloved cat, Bubbles, and enjoyed drawing, knitting, and watching movies – especially classics. She also looked forward to the dances and events held by the Arc.

Patty is survived by her sister, Donna Guthrie (Dale), of Masury, OH.

In addition to her parents, Patty was preceded in death by her brother, James H. Knox.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be directed to the ARC of Mercer County, 850 N. Hermitage Rd., Hermitage, PA 16148.
