Patricia Jean Haines, 80, of Mt. Vernon, OH, formerly of the Shenango Valley, passed away Wednesday evening, March 5, 2025, in Ohio State University Hospital, Columbus, OH.

Mrs. Haines was born on June 28, 1944, in Sharpsville, a daughter of the late John and Leona (Rader) Johnson, and was a graduate of Hickory High School.

A homemaker, Patricia was a former member of St. Joseph's Church, Sharon.

She loved working on arts and crafts and caring for her gardens. Above all, she cherished time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. She always looked forward to traveling and going on family vacations.

She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Jean Shirley, of Hermitage, and Mary Young, of Mt. Vernon, OH; a son, Raymond K. Haines, Jr. and his fiancé Patty, of Transfer; a son-in-law, Jason Maitland, of New Castle; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-grandchild on the way. Also surviving is a sister, Delores Johnson, of Sharon; and a brother, John "Jack" Johnson, of Clark.

In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond K. Haines, Sr.; and a brother, Thomas Johnson.

Calling hour will be 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday (03/14/2025) in the chapel of St. Rose Cemetery, 779 Dutch Ln., Hermitage.

Funeral service will immediately follow at 11 a.m. Friday, in the chapel, with Rev. James Power, officiating.
