Patricia "Trish" M. Formichella of Farrell passed away
Saturday
afternoon, Dec. 19, 2015, in her home, after an extended illness. She was 59.
Trish was born July 10, 1956, in Sharon, a daughter of John F. and Anna C. Davies Hohman.
She was a 1974 alumna of Kennedy Christian High School, Hermitage, and received her bachelor's degree in Nursing from the former Villa Maria College, Erie.
Trish began her career in nursing at the former Sharon General Hospital and later taught at its school of nursing. She also worked at North Side Hospital in Youngstown, Ohio and at different nursing homes in the Shenango Valley.
She was a member of the Church of Notre Dame, Hermitage.
Trish enjoyed singing and was a former member of the Shenango Valley Chorale.
Surviving are: a daughter, Leanne Formichella and her fiancé Nick Archuleta, Commerce City, CO; two grandchildren whom she adored, Nyla and Lyndon; and two brothers, Paul Hohman and his wife Brenda, Philpsburg, PA; and Mark Hohman and his wife Susan, Hermitage. She was also a loving aunt to her nieces and nephews.
Trish was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Miriam Smiley and Mary Hohman, who died in infancy; a brother, John Hohman; and a nephew, John Smiley.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Mercer County Behavioral Health Commission, 8406 Sharon-Mercer Rd., Mercer, PA 16137; or the Humane Society of Mercer County, 3005 E. State St., Hermitage, PA 16148.
Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass on Wednesday, December 30th, 2015, in the Church of Notre Dame, Hermitage. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.mcgoniglefuneralhomeandcrematory.com .
A Mass of Christian burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 30th, 2015, in the Church of Notre Dame, Hermitage, with Rev. Jeffrey Noble, pastor, as celebrant.
