Patricia Anne Durisko, 230 N. Crescent Dr., Hermitage; formerly of Negley St., Farrell, passed away at 11:39 a.m. Monday (1-18-10) in UPMC Horizon Hospital, Greenville, after a brief illness. She was 86.
Mrs. Durisko was born Dec. 19, 1923 in Grind Stone, PA a daughter of the late Andrew and Elizabeth Verock Kirila.
She moved to Mercer, PA in 1925 and was a graduate of Mercer High School.
A gifted homemaker and a woman of strong faith, Anne is a member of the Church of Notre Dame, Hermitage, and a longtime member of the former St. Ann's Church, Farrell. She also belonged to the Blue Army of Fatima. Anne loved her God and her family and devoted her life to them. She traveled extensively with her husband and family members throughout the years and enjoyed tending to her flower gardens in her leisure time.
Surviving are: her loving husband at home, John Durisko, whom she married on June 21, 1947 in the former All Saints Catholic Church, Mercer; two sons, David P. Durisko and his wife Karlene, Annapolis, MD; and John M. Durisko and his wife Tami, Hermitage; three grandchildren whom she adored, John Andrew Durisko, Matthew Paul Durisko and Patrick Joseph Durisko.
Besides her parents, Anne was preceded in death by four sisters, Elizabeth Snyder, Mary Swarney, Julia Prokivnak and Helene Kirila; and three brothers, Paul Kirila, Dr. Andrew Kirila and Michael Kirila.
Calling hours will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today (1-20-10) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 3 p.m. Thursday (1-21-10) in Church of Notre Dame, Hermitage, with the Rev. Jeffrey Noble, pastor, as celebrant.
