Patricia D'Angio, 66, of Hermitage, formerly a longtime resident of Mercer, passed away Thursday morning, December 31, 2020, in Sharon Regional Hospital following a brief illness.
Ms. D'Angio was born March 9, 1954, in Grove City, a daughter of the late Anthony and Rose (Dicesare) D'Angio. A 1972 graduate of Mercer High School, she later completed a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and Library Sciences at Slippery Rock State College.
For a short time, she taught at East Elementary School, Mercer. Patricia then accepted a position with the federal government processing farm loans, where she continued to work for many years until her retirement.
Patricia attended Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Mercer.
She had a talent for completing puzzles, and especially enjoyed working 1000-piece jigsaw puzzles and Sudoku puzzles. Patricia also loved going to the movies.
She is survived by her twin sister, Toni Steklachick and her husband, John, of Hermitage; two brothers, Frank Deramo and Donald Deramo and his wife, Gail, all of Mercer; twin nieces, Melinda Deramo and Debbie Los and her husband, Dr. Brian Los; and niece, Elisa Arrow and her husband, Jerry; a nephew, David Deramo; great-nieces Dalyn and Diana Houston, and Jill (David) Chupak; a great-nephew, Brandon Arrow; and a great-great-nephew, Grayson Chupak.
In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Margaret Deramo.

Due to concerns presented by the Covid-19 virus, a private Memorial Mass will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Mercer, with the Very Rev. Matthew Kujawinski, as celebrant.
Interment: All Saints Catholic Cemetery, Mercer.
