Patricia Lynne Crook, 57, of West Melbourne, Florida, formerly of Hermitage, Pa. passed away on March 3, 2011 following an extended illness. She was 57.
Patty was born in Sharon April 30, 1953 the daughter of Bill and Sophie Niemi.
She was raised in Hickory Township and graduated from Hickory High School in 1971.
She worked in the Accounting Department at the former General American Transportation Corporation (GATX) in Masury, Ohio, and later transferred to their Chicago plant. Due to health issues, Patty retired early after 27 years of service.
Before her health issues, she enjoyed many outdoor activities, including biking and jogging, and she loved to vacation with her husband, Harry, in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, her favorite vacation destination. She also knew her way around the kitchen and loved cooking for friends and family. Patty was a dear, devoted friend throughout her life, and she will be missed by those friends whose lives she touched.
She is survived by her husband, Harry W. Crook; her mother, Sophie Niemi of Melbourne, Fl; two sisters, Beverly Biggin and her husband John, West Melbourne, Sandy Devincentis and her husband Richard, New Castle, Pa., and her brother Richard Niemi, Florissant, MO, and eight nieces and nephews.
Calling hours: Thursday (3-10-11) from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday (3-11-11) from 10:00 am until the time of service in the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. 1090 E. State St. Sharon.

Services: A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday (3-11-11) in the Funeral home chapel with Rev. Donald D. Hake, pastor of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church officiating.
Interment: St. Rose Cemetery, Hermitage.
