Patricia E. Brzoza, 83, of 238 S. Market St.,New Wilmington, passed away the morning of March 28, 2010 at Shenango On The Green in New Wilmington.

Patricia was was born in New Castle on March 17, 1927 to the late George and Katherine Sullivan Chip.

She graduated from New Castle High School in 1944 and from the former New Castle Hospital School of Nursing in 1947.

She married Dr. Joseph J. Brzoza on July 24, 1954 and he preceded her in death on January 9, 1976.

Patricia was employed as a registered nurse at the former St. Francis hospital and later as an industrial nurse for Rockwell International and other industries in the area. She was a former member of the Lawrence County Medical Auxiliary and a volunteer for the American Red Cross.

She enjoyed drawing and painting, going fishing and traveling. She was a member of St. Camillus Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Tekla A. Helfrich of Drexel Hill, PA and Katie C. Garrett of Shoreacres,TX. Three Sons Thomas F. Brzoza of Laurelton,PA, Joseph C. Brzoza of New Castle and James E. Brzoza of Gibsonia,PA. One Sister, Mary Louise Frazier of Brentweed TN. Eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive her.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two brothers, George and William Chip and one daughter Janet K. Brzoza.

Calling hours will be held from 5 to 8 on Tuesday at the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, 111 W. Falls St.

A procession will leave the funeral home on Wednesday morning at 9:30 A.M for St Camillus Church where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. with the Rev. Thomas J. Lewandowski, pastor, as celebrant.
