Obituary

Pasquale 'Patsy' Zoccole, Minerva, Oh, and formerly of S. Pymatuning Twp. (Mercer County), Pa. passed away at 10:11 a.m. Saturday (12-12-09) in the Pittsburgh VA Hospital following a brief illness. He was 76.

Mr. Zoccole was born October 21, 1933 in Sharon, PA, a son of Frank and Louise Conti Zoccole.

He was a 1951 graduate of Sharpsville High School and attended Penn State Shenango Campus where he studied Real Estate.

Early in his life he worked for the Sharon Home Improvement Co., which was owned by his step father. He worked for 30 years at the Sherwin Williams Co later known as the U.S. Can Co., where he retired in 1987. After retirement, Mr. Zoccole received his Real Estate Broker's License and worked for Stainbrook Realty, Sharpsville. He eventually opened his own office, Zoccole Real Estate, in Sharpsville. He also was a partner in P & Z Dairy Queen, South Pymatuning Twp.

Mr. Zoccole holds a U.S. Patent for the 'Bingo Identifier' which allowed vocally impaired individual's to play Bingo.

He is a former member of the South Pymatuning Community Church which he was instrumental in building.

He belonged to Free and Accepted Masons Masonic Lodge #517, Sharpsville, the New Castle Consistory 32nd Degree Masons, the Sharpsville American Legion Post #162 and a life member of the Disabled American Veterans Association. Mr. Zoccole was an avid bowler and he enjoyed playing bingo.

A decorated veteran, he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1956.

His wife, the former Nancy J. Woods Siefert, whom he married on June 9, 1990, survives at the residence.

He is also survived by a daughter, Melanie L. Zoccole, Erie, Pa., a son Patrick M. Zoccole, Sharpsville, two step-sons, Keith E. Siefert and his wife Tami, Youngstown, OH and Eric J. Siefert and his wife Jennifer, Kinsman, OH; two sisters, Frances Buzard, Sharpsville and Rose Ann Mahon and her husband James, Fowler, OH; two brothers, C. Howard Zoccole, Brookfield, OH and Fred Zoccole and his wife Karen, S. Pymatuning Twp; five grandchildren, Rachael and Elizabeth Zoccole and Rachel, Robert and Zoe Siefert.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Antoinette 'Tony' Taylor.

Services: Funeral service at 4:00 p.m. Monday (12-14-09) in the funeral home chapel with Rev. David L. Searle, pastor of the South Pymatuning Community Church officiating.

Cremation: following services in the funeral home crematory. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Lake Park Cemetery, Youngstown, Ohio.
