Pamela Marie Gianoglio , 63, of Farrell, passed away at 11 :40 a.m. Sunday, July 22, 2018, in Family Hospice, Pittsburgh.
Pamela was born October 25, 1954, in Sharon, a daughter of Earl Bryson and Anna (Iacino) Nelson. She was a 1972 graduate of Farrell High School. She was employed in 1973 as a phlebotomist in the lab of UPMC Horizon, Shenango Valley and retired in 2017 as a patient associate in the outpatient center.
Pamela was a devoted member of Our Lady of Fatima Church, Farrell where she taught Confraternity of Christian Doctrine (CCD) and Pre-CANA classes. She also volunteered with the parents guild at the former Msgr. Geno J. Monti Parochial Grade School and Kennedy Catholic High School. Pamela and her husband bowled for many years in the Kennedy Catholic bowling league at Thorton Hall, Sharon.
She was an avid baker and enjoyed making cookies for family and friends weddings.
She is survived by her husband, James S. Gianoglio , whom she married on April 29, 1978 in St. Joseph's Church, Sharon. Pam is also survived by two daughters, Jami Lagios and her husband Jeff; and Annie Burk and her husband Benjamin and their daughter Angelina, all of Pittsburgh; two sisters, MaryLou Walters, West Middlesex; and Beth Lewis and her husband Stan, Hermitage; and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Pamela was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Robert Nelson; and a brother-in-law, Terry Walters.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Our Lady of Fatima Church, 601 Roemer Blvd., Farrell, PA 16121.
Calling hours will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday (07/26/2018) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 East State St., Sharon.
Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Friday (07/27/2018) in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Farrell with Rev. Matthew Ruyechan, pastor as celebrant. Everyone is to go directly to the church.
Interment: St. Elizabeth's Cemetery, Farrell.
