Norman R. Munnal Sr. of 505 Fullerton Place Sharon, PA. passed away on Friday, October 22, 2010 at 4:15 a.m. in his residence. He was 76.
Mr. Munnal was born in Sharon, PA on December 24, 1933, a son of the late Emmett T. and Mary L. Moody Munnal.
He attended Sharon High School. Norman retired in 1992 after 40 years of employment at Wheatland Tube as a tool grinder and repairman.
Mr. Munnal was a member of the Russian Club in Sharon, PA. He loved to work with his hands, whether it was working on cars and tractors or carpentry. Most of all Norman loved his grandchildren.
He is survived by, his wife, Betty J. Hougelman Munnal, whom he married July 1, 1978; 3 sons, Norman R. Munnal Jr. at home, David W. Munnal of Hermitage, PA, and Shawn R. Munnal of Jamestown, PA; 3 Grandchildren, Christine and her husband Andy Armagost, Margaret Myers, and Jennifer and her husband Ronnie Joy; 11 great grandchildren, Casey, Destinee, Austin, Armen, Ashten, Brycen, Ava, Cheynne, Emiliee, Ashley, and Hanna.
Besides his parents, Norman was preceded in death by, a brother, Lawrence Munnal; 2 sisters, Sedalia and Schletta.
Callings hours will be on Monday, October 25, 2010 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 1090 E. State St. Sharon, PA 16146.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Marty Adams pastor of Lifeway Church of the Nazarene.
Internment will be in Mt. Washington Cemetery.
