Obituary

Norma June Snyderwine of Hermitage, formerly of Sharon, passed away peacefully Monday morning September 17th, 2018, in her residence. She was 89.

Mrs. Snyderwine was born September 3rd, 1929, in Mercer, a daughter of the late Paul and Alice (Orr) Stonebraker. She attended Wilmington Area Schools.

Norma was a member of Lebanon Presbyterian Church, West Middlesex PA

Prior to becoming a homemaker, Norma was employed by the Overlook, New Wilmington. She enjoyed her pet dog, "Bondo" & various cats over the years. In addition to her green thumb and talent for growing plants, Norma loved making a variety of family favorite food dishes from her collection of recipes and attending various Sharon Tiger sporting events.

Her husband of 65 years, Robert Charles Snyderwine, whom she married September 5th, 1953; survives at home.

Also left to cherish her memory are: three daughters Mary Alice and Karen Snyderwine, Sharon, and Diane Snyderwine, Sharpsville; two sons, Charles Snyderwine and his fiancée Cheryl, Brookfield, and Robert (Wendy) Snyderwine whom were Norma's caregivers, Hermitage; two grandchildren, Mike (Nicole) Snyderwine, Sharon, and April (JJ)  Lipo, Mount Pleasant, S.C.; three great grandchildren, Skylar, Isabelle and Christian Snyderwine; two sisters, Ferne Layton and Phyllis Jones; and two brothers, William and Ralph Stonebraker.

In addition to her parents, Norma was preceded in death by five sisters, Shirley McConnell, Carolyn Barbour, Esther Turney, Marie Anderson and May Jones; and three brothers, Harold, Thomas & James Stonebraker.

A special thank you to the Hospice Nurses and Aids whom cared for Norma.

Calling hours will be 4 p.m. until the time of service Wednesday (9-19-18) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon.

Funeral service will be 5 p.m. Wednesday, in the funeral home, with Rev. Stacie Pitts, chaplain of Sharon Regional Hospice.

Interment: St. Rose Cemetery, Hermitage.
