Norma Jean Millison

Norma Jean Millison, 95, of Sharon, passed away on Thursday morning, July 23, 2026, in Clepper Manor.

Mrs. Millison was born on July 11, 1931, in West Middlesex, the youngest of three children to the late Kenneth B. and Helen F. (Lansdowne) Harshman. At the age of four, her family moved to Sharon, where she was educated.

A devoted homemaker, she enjoyed sewing, crafts, vegetable and flower gardening, and canning fruits and vegetables. She also liked playing cards and, in her younger years, looked forward to camping and water skiing at Mosquito Lake. Above all, she cherished time spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Norma was a member of the former North Oakland United Methodist Church, Sharon.

Additionally, she was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, where she was a Worthy Matron; and the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks, Sharon.

Her husband, M. Keith Millison, whom she married on October 4, 1947, passed away in 1974.

She is survived by a son, Gary L. Millison (Cathy), of Nokesville, VA; three grandchildren, Melinda Millison, Chad Millison and Erica Fitzsimmons (Richard); six great-grandchildren, Leanna Forsythe (Jimmy), Makayla Mott (Cody), Matthew Gosser, Hayden and Taylor Fitzsimmons, and Reid Millison.

In addition to her parents and husband, Norma was preceded in death by two sons, infant Terry Millison, and PFC Dennis Keith Millison (KIA, Vietnam); and two siblings, William “Bill” Harshman, and Joann Weber Stanton.

The family suggests memorial contributions be directed to the Order of the Eastern Star, at www.easternstar.org; or a charity of the donor’s choice.

In keeping with Norma’s wishes, there are no services. 

Interment: Oakwood Cemetery, Hermitage.
