Memorial service will be held Saturday for Nitsa G. Beveridge of New Bedford, Lawrence County. She passed away after an extended illness with cancer at 2:46 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 10, 2016, in her residence, with her family by her side. She was 53.

Mrs. Beveridge was born Feb. 13, 1962, in Sharon, a daughter of George and Dorothy Darich Theofilos.

She attended Hickory High School, Hermitage.

Nitsa was a former longtime member of Victory Christian Center, Lowellville, Ohio. She and her husband were foster parents for the Bair Foundation in New Wilmington for nine years.

Nitsa loved outdoor activities, including vegetable and flower gardening and taking care of her animals. She also enjoyed cooking, reading, traveling and spending time with her family and close friends.

Surviving are: her husband, Brian K. Beveridge, whom she married Jan. 12, 1979; a daughter, Nicole Marie Beveridge and her husband Tony Safranic, Clive, Iowa; a son, Beau Daniel Beveridge, Seattle, Wash.; two grandchildren, Parker and Summer; a sister, Dr. Annette Theofils Winland and her husband Tim, Jefferson Township; two nieces, Morgan and Marissa; a nephew, Jordan; and brothers- and sisters-in-law, Beryl Beveridge, Jr., Frank Beveridge, Shelia Beveridge, Brenda Beveridge and Linda Pizer.

Nitsa was preceded in death by her parents and her father- and mother-in-law, Beryl and Florence Beveridge
