Nathan J. Verroco, 44, of Hermitage, passed away suddenly on Sunday, January 19, 2025, in UPMC Horizon Hospital, Farrell.
"Nate" was born on April 14, 1980, in Farrell, the son of Peter and Vickie (Snyder) Verroco. He was a 1998 graduate of Hickory High School and attended Youngstown State University.
Nate was a self-employed roofer and operated Nate Verroco Roofing. Earlier in his career, he worked as an independent distributor for the McKee Food Corporation.
An avid sports fan, he loved the Cincinnati Bengals and the Florida State Seminoles. He was also an extremely proud father and was dedicated to being there for his son and supporting him in all of his activities. Nate coached his son's flag football team and minor league baseball in Hermitage.
He was also a fan of racing and found joy in racing go-carts and late-model dirt tracks.
He is survived by his parents of Hermitage; his son, Brayden "Taco" Verroco; his girlfriend, Alicia Sands; his beloved dog, Mack; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Nate was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Paul and Arlene Snyder; and his paternal grandparents, Nicolo and Delores "Angie" Verroco.
The family suggests memorial contributions be directed to the Shenango Valley Children's Transplant Fund, C/O the Community Foundation of Western PA and Eastern OH, 7 West State St., Sharon, PA 16146.
Calling hours will be 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday (01/25/2025) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 East State St., Sharon.
A memorial service will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, in the funeral home.
