Obituary


Naomi S. (Boyd) Weiser of Wheatland passed away Friday evening, January 26, 2018, in the Grove at New Wilmington. She was 74.

Naomi was born July 23, 1943, in Peterstown, WV, a daughter of Russell and Hattie (Carter) Boyd and attended Hickory High School.

She was a homemaker and later was employed at the American Legion, Post #432, Wheatland, where she was part of the ladies auxiliary and is known for starting bingo. Naomi is also a member of the VFW, ladies auxiliary, Post #6233, West Middlesex.

Her grandchildren were her life. She enjoyed reading, playing bingo, going to craft shows and camping at Sara's Campground on Lake Erie. Later in life she liked traveling, particularly to Gettysburg and to Florida and Arizona to visit family.

She is survived by a daughter, Brenda Fraley, Wheatland; three sons, Clarence "Rick" Weiser (Amy), Farrell; Jim Weiser (Kim), Wheatland; and Gene Weiser (Michele), West Middlesex; a brother, Russell Boyd, FL; ten grandchildren, Steven, Jason and Heather Fraley; Nicole, Jordan, Jacob, Jenna, Noah, Colton and Maddy Weiser; one great grandson, Connor Clark; a special sister-in-law, Twila Miller, Hermitage; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Debbie Taylor; Pattie Burns; Bob and Fred Mosley; and Crissi Tucci.

Naomi was preceded in death by her parents; and a son, Albert Weiser.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, at www.cancer.org .

Calling hours will be 6:30 to 9 p.m. Tuesday (01/30/2018) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 East State St., Sharon ; and again from 1 p.m. until the time of the service Wednesday.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, in the funeral home, with Rev. Kenneth Martin, pastor of First Assembly of God, Hermitage, officiating.

Burial: Mt. Washington Cemetery, Jefferson Twp.
