Obituary

Nancy J. Adams, Herr Street, Hermitage, passed away peacefully of natural causes at 8:01 a.m. Saturday (2-28-15) in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System. She was 76. Nancy was born Sept. 15, 1938, in Barkeyville, Venango County, a daughter of Harry James and Evelyn Lillian Stanley McQuilken. She attended Sharon schools. In her early years she worked at two former restaurants in Sharon, The Blue Moon Café and Coney Island. She later moved to sunny Florida and owned and operated Nancy's Bar in Lake City. In her spare time she enjoyed playing bingo, gaming, and her trips to the local casino. Her husband, William "Bill" Thomas Adams, whom she married Sept. 15, 1973, passed away on Christmas Eve in 1991. She is survived by: her two daughters, Debby Zarecki and her husband Alec, Lake City; and Suzanne Dillon and her companion Thomas Rakoci, Mercer; two sons, James Dillon and his fiancee, Debbie Jarrett, also Mercer; and Tony Dillon and his wife Sheri, Holy Oak, Mass.; her sister, Lillian Bayer and her husband Jack, with whom she lived; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Dillon, and her parents. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
