IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Nadine
Vellente
February 20, 1958 – January 21, 2024
In loving memory of Nadine Vellente, 65, of Temple Terrace, Florida. A cherished soul who passed away peacefully in her daughter's arms on January 21, 2024, at AdventHealth Tampa, FL.
Nadine was born on February 20th, 1958, in Sharon. She is the proud daughter of the late Joseph Vellente and Frances (Bianco) Vellente Dipiero. She graduated from Sharon High School in 1976. She had a 38-year career as the City Clerk for the City of Farrell, retiring in 2016 to fulfill her dream of moving to Florida with her beloved daughter.
Nadine's pride and joy were her children and grandchildren to whom she dedicated her life. Her passions included beach days, galivanting with her daughter, cooking the most delicious meals for her family, and was a diehard fan of the Kennedy Golden Eagles. She never missed listening to a game, even on her sickest days.
She fought a long, hard battle against cancer, where her courage, resilience and admirable strength shined brighter than ever. Nadine wished to express her sincere thanks to everyone for their support and prayers throughout her fight. To know Nadine was to love her, a sentiment echoed by all who were touched by her kindness and genuine heart. Her story, strength and courage will continue to serve as an inspiration to many and will forever be remembered. Nadine was a remarkable woman and a wonderful mother.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Taylor Ann Locke and her husband Michael her "favorite son-in-law," of Land O Lakes, FL; two grandchildren, Isla June and Lee Michael Locke; a brother, Louis Vellente and his wife Melinda, Sharon; a nephew, Joseph Vellente and his wife Jen; and many cousins and friends.
In addition to her parents, Nadine was preceded in death by her son, Lee Michael Shimshock; and her stepfather, Pasquale "Nino" Dipiero.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the Lee Michael Shimshock Memorial Foundation through the Community Foundation of Western PA & Eastern OH, 7 West State St., Suite 301, Sharon, PA 16146.
