Miriam Ann Gill of 6925 Dermond Rd. Hermitage, Lackawannock Twp., passed away unexpectedly at 7:22 a.m. Monday, February 20, 2012, in her residence. She was 76.

Miriam was born March 24, 1935 in Grove City a daughter of Raymond and Alice Coleman Deck.

She was a graduate of Grove City High School. Following high school she attended college.

Miriam retired after 15 years as a nurse's aid from Overlook Medical Clinic. Prior to her employment at Overlook Medical Clinic, she was employed for 20 years at Countryside Convalescent Home in Mercer.

Mrs. Gill was a member of Lebanon United Presbyterian Church. In Miriam's spare time she loved to work in her garden, knit, read, and collect bear figurines. Most importantly she was a loving mother, and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Her Husband Thomas Gill, whom she married February 10, 1958, passed away in 1994.

Surviving are: 3 sons, Peter Gill of Hermitage, PA, Edward Korab Jr. and his fiancée Dianna Reed of Sharon, PA, and Stephen Gill of Blairsville, PA; a brother, Robert Deck of Orlando, FL; 1 grandson, Jordyn Gill.

Miriam was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Calling hours will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, February 23, 2012 in the Lebanon United Presbyterian Church 2090 Mercer-West Middlesex Rd. Mercer, PA.

A funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, February 23, 2012 in the Church with Rev. Augie Hurst.

Interment: Lebanon United Presbyterian Cemetery.
