Minnie Kacerski

Minnie Kacerski, 102, of Sharon, passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, in Embassy Healthcare.

Mrs. Kacerski was born on January 31, 1924, in Sharon, a daughter of the late Dominic and Rosannina (Flocco) Virgallito. She was a 1941 graduate of Sharon High School.

A homemaker, she worked early in her life at the former Streamline Market, Sharon, and the former Sharon Transformer Division of Westinghouse Electric Corp. during WWII. She retired in 1974 from W.T. Grant Store in Hermitage.

She was a member of the former St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Sharon, where she was a member of the Ladies of Charity, and an usher and greeter until 2010. She was also a member of the Queen Wanda Lodge of the Polish National Alliance and bowled for over 50 years with the PNA League on Monday nights at Thornton Hall Lanes, Sharon.

Her husband, Matthew W. Kacerski, whom she married on April 10, 1948. He passed away on September 1, 1988.

She is survived by a son, Dennis J. Kacerski, of Sharon; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Minnie was preceded in death by two sons, Ronald M. and Matthew R. “Bobby” Kacerski; two sisters, Catherine Marinoff (Martin), and Josephine Huffman; a brother, Dominic Virgallito (DeRose); and three nephews, Martin Allen Marinoff (Diane), Jason Bartosh and Kaleb Stockton.

The family suggests memorial contributions be directed to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Calling hour will be 1 to 2 p.m. on Saturday (09/26/2026) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 East State St., Sharon. 

Funeral service will immediately follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home, with Rev. Raymond Gramata officiating.

Interment: St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery, Farrell.
