Obituary

Mrs. Minnie (Roth) Dyll, 91, of Hermitage, passed away following a brief illness at 2:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 2, 2024, in the Grove in New Wilmington, PA.

Mrs. Dyll was born at home in Farrell, on January 25, 1933, to the late Frederick and Johanna (Theiss) Roth. Her father passed her to her aunt Minnie and declared there was "Little Minnie." For the rest of her life, she teased Aunt Minnie "You should have stayed home!!!"

Min was a proud 1951 graduate of Farrell High School, where she made several lifelong friends.

She married the love of her life, Edward A. Dyll, on August 20, 1955. They moved to Sharon in 1959, where they raised their three girls. Together they loved to travel, taking many trips with White Star Tours.

Min was a devoted and active member of Christ Lutheran Church, Sharon.

She loved to cook and made an apple pie that made everyone's mouth water. Min also loved feeding her "boys," her sons-in-law, whom she loved and considered her own.

Her greatest joy was her five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. They were the apple of her eye.

She is survived by three daughters, Dianne Skinner, Hermitage, Lorraine Knight and her husband Jack, Sharon, and Carole Horsman and her husband Bill, Mentor, OH. Also surviving are her beloved grandchildren, Randy Knight and his wife Laney Hudson, Jeff Knight and his wife Melanie, Dr. Christina Evanko and her husband Tony; and Dr. Erica Skinner and her husband Ryan Delgros; and her great-grandchildren, Blaze Knight and his girlfriend Loren Alsdorf, Kanen Schuller, Zola Knight, and Gavin, Owen and Easton Evanko.

In addition to her parents, Min was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; her son-in-law, Jack Skinner; her beloved grandson, Bobby Skinner; three brothers, Fred, Carl and Bill Roth; and a sister, Johanna "Toots" Sopko.
