Mildred "Midge" E. Diegan Stabile, formerly of Garden Way, Hermitage; and Nimick St., Sharon, passed away at
8:42 a.m.
Sunday, November 22, 2015, in Nugent Convalescent Home, Hermitage, where she was a resident for the past two years. She was 87.
Midge was born February 2, 1928, in Farrell, a daughter of Arthur and Edna Tyras Sutton.
She was a lifelong area resident and a 1945 graduate of Sharon High School.
Midge was a member of St. Joseph Church, Sharon.
She was an exceptional homemaker and enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking and spending time with her family. Her kindness, compassion and caring ways will be missed by all who loved her.
Her husband, William Diegan, whom she married Feb. 14, 1947 in the former St. Joseph Church, Sharon, passed away August 15, 1994.
She married James D. Stabile, Sr. on March 9, 1996 and he passed away Oct. 2, 2004.
Surviving are: a daughter, Linda Rubalcava, Florida; a son, Jack Diegan and his wife Janet, Hubbard, OH; 7 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Susan Diegan.
She also leaves two sisters, Sarah Wansack and Sherry Vaccaro and her husband Tony; a step-brother, Bob Caldwell; a sister-in-law, Grace Sutton; and several step-children and their families.
Besides her husbands, Midge was preceded in death by her parents; a son, William Diegan, Jr.; and a brother, Gene Sutton.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Sharon Regional Hospice and Palliative Care, 1955 Shenango Valley Freeway, Hermitage, PA 16148.
Calling hour will be from
12:30 p.m.
until the time of service on
Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2015

Mass of Christian burial will be
1:30 p.m.
Wednesday
in St. Joseph Church with Rev. Thomas Whitman, pastor, as celebrant.
