Michelle L. Long, 50, of New Castle passed away at 4:35 a.m. Sunday, November 20, 2016, in Countryside Nursing Home, Mercer, following an extended illness.

Michelle was born July, 8, 1966, in New Castle, a daughter of Chester Servick and Carrollyn Foster.

A lifelong area resident, she was a 1984 graduate of Mohawk High School.

In recent years she was employed by local retailers as a sales clerk, and previously worked as a Nurse's Aide in Golden Hill Nursing Home.

Michelle attended First United Methodist Church, Neshannock. She loved being with her family, particularly her children and grandson, and she cherished the time she was able to spend with them.

Surviving are her daughter, Harlee Long; two sons, Christopher Vanasky and Nicholas Vanasky; her mother and stepfather, Matthew and Carrollyn Foster, all of New Castle; one brother, Chester (Janice) Servick, Jr., of Maumee, Ohio; and a grandson, Christopher Vanasky, Jr. Michelle also leaves her two pets whom she adored, her cat, "Little Bit," and her dog, Izzy.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Neil and Helen Davis.

Calling hours will be 5 p.m. until the time of service Tuesday in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 111 W. Falls St., New Castle.

Memorial Service will be 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
