Michael J. Meszaros of Sharon passed away peacefully Sunday, May 14, 2017, in University Medical Center, Cleveland, OH, following a brief illness. He was 66.

Mike was born July 12, 1950, in Sharon, a son of Michael J. and Elma Alda Likens Meszaros. He was a lifelong area resident and attended Sharon High School.

A steel worker for many years, Mike was employed by Roemer Industry, Inc., and previously the former General American Corp. (GATX), both Masury, OH.

He was an avid Pittsburgh sports and Ohio State Buckeyes fan. Mike enjoyed playing in slow-pitch softball leagues and dancing. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need.

Surviving are: his companion Julie Kreutzer, Sharon; two daughters, Tricia Meszaros-Spangler, Bessemer, PA; and Tracey Watt, Hartford, OH; a son, Christopher Meszaros, Sharon; three sisters, Barbara Gill and her husband Cecil, Hermitage; Tina Johnson; and Lisa Gibson and her husband Vincent; all Sharon; a brother, Jerry Meszaros and his wife Joyce; Sharon. Also surviving are four grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents and former spouse, Patricia Vitello.

In keeping with his wishes all services will be private.
