Michael Conrad Lehman, 1265 Means Rd., New Wilmington, PA; formerly of S. Oakdale Ave., Hermitage, passed away at 4:35 p.m. Wednesday (1-13-10) in Hospice of the Valley, Poland, Ohio after a brief illness. He was 72.
Mr. Lehman was born August 27, 1937 in Sharon a son of the late Carlton Ben and Margaret Catherine Kohn Lehman.
He was a 1956 graduate of Wilmington High School and served with the US Army Reserve and National Guard Reserve.
Mike owned and operated the family dairy farm, Carlemar, and Lehman's Country Wood Craft, New Wilmington, since 1987. He was previously a salesman for Hearn Paper Co., Youngstown, Ohio; owned the former Lehman's Dry Cleaners, Hermitage; and began his career as a draftsman at what is now HHSDR Architects and Engineers.
Mike was a former member of St. John's Episcopal Church, Sharon, where he was on Vestry and a member of the Men's Club. He was also a member of the Mercer County Model Railroad Club and the Lawrence County Agriculture and Preservation Board of Director's.
His wife, the former Mary 'Mitzie' Lyden, whom he married August 20, 1960, passed away April 25, 2009.
Surviving are: two daughters, Linda L. Toth, Wilmington, NC; and Lisa L. Callahan and her husband Kevin, Austintown, Ohio; a son, Michael C. Lehman and his wife Nan, New Castle, PA; and seven grandchildren, Justin, Kayleigh, Shane, Stephanie, Marc, Amanda and Alana.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Hospice House, 9803 Sharrott Rd., Poland, Ohio 44514.
Calling hours will be from 11 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday (1-16-10) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon.
