Michael D. Kadylak of 3802 Timber Ln. Hermitage, PA, passed away on Thursday, January 13, 2011 at 3:50 p.m. at Sharon Regional Health System.
Mr. Kadylak, 60 years old, was born in McKees Rocks, PA on May 5, 1950, a son of Michael and Mary Della (Sullivan) Kadylak.
He was a graduate of Edinboro University, where he achieved a Bachelors Degree of Education.
He worked at Polk Center for 30 years and retired as Director of Program Services in June of 2007.
Michael was a member of St. John's Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Church. He was an avid golfer and fan of all sports. He valued his relationship with family and friends and they were the center of his life. Michael was a great son, a wonderful brother, a loving husband, a trusted colleague, and a close friend. He was a father, a friend, and a role model for his four boys and the values he instilled on them will live on for generations to come. His warm personality and loving spirit will be missed by those who knew and loved him.
Mr. Kadylak is survived by his mother of McKees Rocks, PA; his wife, Nada (Dzepina) Kadylak, whom he married June of 2000; 4 sons, Michael Kadylak of Franklin, PA, Eric Dzepina of Brooklyn, NY, Jeff and his wife Theresa (Vickery) Kadylak of Traverse City, MI, and Tom and his wife Samantha (Finnefrock) Kadylak of Grove City, PA; a sister, Margaret and her husband Robert Speth of McKees Rocks, PA; 5 grandchildren, Keigan, Elijah, Karsten, Kaizer, and Kamden; He is also survived by his sister in law, Anna Biddle of Hermitage, PA and numerous nieces and nephews.
Michael was preceded in death by his father.
Calling Hours will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday, January 16, 2011 in the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. A Panachida service will be held at 6:45 p.m.
A funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 17, 2011 in St. John's Orthodox Cemetery Chapel, the corner of South Hermitage and Morefield Roads, with Monsignor Michael Polanichka, pastor of St. John's Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Church, Sharon, officiating. A brief prayer service will be held at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home prior to leaving for the chapel.
Internment: St. John's Cemetery, Hermitage.
