Michael Timothy "Toad" Haley, 66, of New Castle passed away Thursday, May 24, 2018, in UPMC Jameson Hospital.

Mr. Haley was born in New Castle on August 5, 1951. Toad was a 1971 graduate of the Lawrence County Vo-Tech and later attended the Art Institute of Pittsburgh.

He was employed as a long-haul truck driver, working out of Durham - Chapel Hill, N.C., and later worked as driver for a medical transport Co., Ashville, N.C.

Toad was affiliated with Kings Chapel United Methodist Church, New Castle.

He spent many hours in his backyard working on engines and other mechanical jobs. Toad also enjoyed photography and astronomy.

Surviving are: a son, Michael T. Haley, II, of Leicester, N.C.; his mother, Mary Alice Haley; and two sisters, Lillian M. (Roy) Blackford and Jacqueline Bailey, all of New Castle.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Haley; a brother, Daniel Haley; and a sister, Kathy Zona.

Calling hour will be from 1 p.m. until the time of service Friday (6-8-18) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 111 W. Falls St., New Castle.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday, in the funeral home, with Rev. Maryann J. Long, pastor of Kings Chapel United Methodist Church, officiating.

Interment will be in Kings Chapel Cemetery, New Castle.
