Michael Evakich, 58, of Farrell, passed away on Friday, July 12, 2024, in UPMC Horizon Hospital, Farrell.
Mike was born on October 9, 1965, in Sharon, a son of Steven Evakich and Rosemary (Pavone) Kern. He was a 1983 graduate of Brookfield High School and honorably served his country in the US Air Force.
He was a longtime volunteer at the Brookfield Volunteer Fire Department and worked as an EMT at McGonigle Ambulance Company, Hermitage.
More recently he was employed as a cook at Mr. D's Food Fair, Brookfield, OH, and the former Denny's, Hermitage.
Mike was a good man, who deeply cared for everyone. He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting and fishing. He was also an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
He is survived by two daughters, Whitney and Chasity Evakich, Myrtle Beach, SC; his mother, Rosemary Kern, Washington; his father, Steven Evakich and his wife Peggy, Brookfield; his partner, Charles Decker, Jr., Farrell; three grandchildren, Malia, A.J., and Nova; a sister, Barbara Hoffman and her husband Richard, Castalia, OH; and two half-brothers, Jason Evakich, Hubbard, OH, and E.J. Kocott and his wife Christi, Washington.

Calling hours will be 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday (07/18/2024) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 East State St., Sharon.
There will be no funeral service.
Interment: Oakwood Cemetery, Hermitage.
