Michael Paul Bissell, 60, of New Castle, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes Monday, April 16, 2018, in his residence.

Mr. Bissell was born June 23, 1957, in Pittsburgh, PA.

Mike proudly served in the U.S. Navy.

He retired from the former D & K Discount Store, New Castle, where he worked as an inventory stockman.

Mike was a former member of the Sons of Italy, New Castle, where he helped with the weekly bingo.

He enjoyed building model airplanes and talking walks with his dog, Max.

His wife, the former Hazel Blews, whom he married June 20, 1996, preceded him in death September 23, 2012.

Surviving are: two step-sons, James Blews and his wife, Debbie, of New Castle, and Richard Blews and his wife, Amber, Chicora, PA; several siblings; a sister-in-law, Ruth Gallick and her husband, John, New Castle; and six step-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Mike was preceded in death by his parents.

In keeping with his wishes, all services will be held privately.
