Merry L. Klaja

Merry L. Klaja, 82, of Farrell, passed away peacefully with her family at her bedside early Wednesday morning, April 8, 2026, in her home.

Mrs. Klaja was born November 14, 1943, in Sharon, a daughter of the late Edward and Bessie (Amon) Burnside, and was a 1961 graduate of Sharon High School.

A homemaker, Merry was a devoted wife, caring mother, and adoring grandmother. She enjoyed cooking and, during her downtime, looked forward to crocheting.

Her husband of 61 years, Frank Klaja, whom she married January 15, 1965, survives at home.

Merry is also survived by a son, Daniel Klaja, Farrell; a daughter, Stacy Husk (Marvin), Liberty Twp., OH; a granddaughter; and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Merry was preceded in death by a sister, Patsy Burnside; and a brother, Edward Burnside.

In keeping with her wishes, services were held privately amongst the family.

Interment: Oakwood Cemetery, Hermitage.
