Matthew John Rypczyk, 554 Buhl Blvd., Sharon, passed away peacefully Monday evening (9-5-11) in UPMC Horizon Hospital, Farrell, of complications from muscular dystrophy. He was 24.

Matt was born September 29, 1986 in Sharon a son of Keith A. and Margi R. Albright Rypczyk.

He attended Notre Dame Parochial Grade School and was a 2005 graduate of Sharon High School.

Matt was a member of the Church of Notre Dame, Hermitage.

Surviving are: his parents, at home; a sister, Amy M. Rypczyk, San Antonio, Texas; grandparents, Gretta Murray and her husband Bryce, Hubbard, Ohio and Geneva Rypczyk, Sharpsville; aunts and uncle, Laura Albright, Sharpsville; and Brenda Tomko and her husband Dan, Hermitage; cousins, Nick and Jennifer Cipriano; and Aaron and Victoria Tomko; and several close friends.

Matt was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Victor J. Rypczyk and Chauncey 'Skip' Albright, III.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 2810 W. 21stSt., Suite 12, Erie, PA 16506 or to Buhl Park Corporation, 715 Hazen Rd., Hermitage, PA 16148.

Memorial Mass of Christian burial will be 1 p.m. Saturday (9-10-11) in the Church of Notre Dame, 2325 Highland Rd., Hermitage, with Msgr. Edward J. Zeitler, senior associate, as celebrant.

The family will receive friends immediately following the Mass.
